In late April of '06 I embarked on a life changing journey.
It all began right after the first of the year.  I had been working on loosing weight and was looking for something to "spice it up".  So one day I woke up thinking about Richard Simmons and how he had a cruise that he did every year to help people loose weight!  I don't know what brought him to mind, but I feel the Lord had something to do with it!
I did some research on the internet, found his web site (http://www.richardsimmons.com) and the next thing I knew I was sending some money!  It was truly a life changing event.  Keep reading to find out more about my journey with Richard and the fellow cruisers - who are now all lifelong friends!

This entire trip was a big step for me!  I have never done anything like this by myself!  My parents really struggled at first, but soon came to realize that I was quickly approaching 30 years of age, and that they really couldn't stop me from going!

I was quite nervous!  I flew into Miami Florida knowing no one!  I knew people who knew people in Miami, but I had never spoken to anyone personally!  My nervousness soon changed, on my way to the Hyatt of Miami, where I would stay until the cruise began the next day, I met several people who were going to be on the cruise with me!  And then once onboard, I met some really good friends.  Below are some pictures of some of them!
My Biskitt!

Biskitt has become my mentor during my weight loss journey.
She is a major inspiration to me!

DINNER TIME
Every evening we had assigned seats for dinner.  This is my dinner group!
Thanks for all the memories!
Buffy!
Buffy is hilarious!  So much fun to be around!  Thanks for all the support and memories!

Jennifer
Was always there for me when I would start to wear down and get tired!  She is a good motivator and encourager!  Thanks
Donna
Donna is awesome!  We had so much fun together, going swimming or just hanging out!
I miss all of this so much!
There was always someone around to give out hugs!

While on the cruise, I was able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with Richard.  He is a remarkable man!  I sincerely own my life to him!  He has helped me develop a new attitude towards life!  My self esteem has risen tremendously!  My attitude towards food and exercise have both changed!
A big one, is my attitude towards drinking water.  I didn't grow up drinking water, I grew up drinking soda pop, mainly diet.  It was hard for me to make this change, but I now drink a substantial amount of water every day!  Just like I should!  Thanks Richard!

Pictures of me "Rockin" with Richard and others on stage.

I tried to take every opportunity to get on stage!
